Annual Membership Terms

Effective from: 2 February 2026

These terms apply to all annual memberships offered by Kaamos Climbing Oy.

1. Membership Duration

• Membership starts from the date of purchase.
• The first membership period is a fixed 12-month term.
• After the fixed term ends, the membership automatically continues on a rolling basis with the same billing method and payment schedule until the member cancels the agreement.

2. Payment Methods

• Membership can be paid as follows:
  • 1 installment / year – Full 12 months paid at once.
  • 2 installments / year – Payments are charged at purchase and after 6 months. Additional +5% of the base price.
  • 4 installments / year – Payments are charged at months 0, 3, 6, and 9. Additional +10% of the base price.
• The chosen payment method continues automatically for the next 12-month period. Payment method can be changed at the start of a new period.
• Note: If a payment is overdue, the membership is suspended until the payment is made.

3. Cancellation

Fixed term (12 months):
The first fixed-term agreement cannot be canceled without a valid reason, such as:

• relocation to another city
• medical reason supported by a doctor’s certificate

If a member cancels a fixed-term agreement before it ends, a benefit compensation will be charged:

• Benefit compensation = normal price of used months – paid membership price
• Example: Member has used the membership for 8 months.
  • Annual membership price is 580€/year, approximately 48.33€/month.
  • Normal monthly pass costs 79€/month. Difference: 79€-48.33€ = 30.67€/month.
  • Benefit used for 8 months: 8 × 30.67€ = 245.36€.
  • Benefit compensation: 245.36€.
• If the full year has been prepaid, no additional fees or refunds apply upon cancellation.

After the fixed term:

• Membership can be canceled with 1 calendar month’s notice.
• Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email: info@kaamosclimbing.fi
• Kaamos Climbing may terminate the agreement immediately if the member seriously breaches the terms or facility rules. Otherwise, the provider’s notice period is 1 month.

4. Pausing / Freezing Membership

Membership may be paused or frozen under the following conditions:

• Doctor’s certificate (illness, injury, surgery)
• Relocation over 50 km from Kaamos Climbing
• Pause/freeze terms:
  • minimum duration 1 calendar month
  • pausing extends the membership end date accordingly
  • freezing applies only to already paid months
  • notification must always be given before the pause starts
  • periods are not credited retroactively

5. Minor Members

Children under 15 may climb only under immediate adult supervision.
Junior membership is personal and valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. If purchased before the 18th birthday, the membership continues until the end of the period and automatically converts to an adult membership afterwards.

6. Discount Groups

Discounts from the regular price are granted to:

• students
• conscripts
• pensioners
• Discount terms:
  • proof must be presented at the time of purchase and annually if required
  • discount cannot be combined with other promotions
  • if the proof expires during the period, the discount applies until the end of that period; the next period will be charged at the regular price

7. Liability, Safety, and Insurance

• Climbing is a sport that involves risk of injury or accidents. Climbing at Kaamos Climbing facilities is at your own risk.
• Kaamos Climbing is not responsible for damages unless caused intentionally or by gross negligence of the provider.
• Members are responsible for their own accident insurance.
• Leisure-time insurance may not cover climbing.

8. Other Terms

• Membership is personal and non-transferable.
• Kaamos Climbing may update its terms.
• Members will be notified of any changes.
• Effective date:
  • These terms are valid from 2 February 2026.
